In the Buganda Kingdom, the Ssaabalangira is the recognized head of all princes. The titleholder acts as the cultural and administrative leader of the Kabaka’s lineage, overseeing matters concerning princes, guiding them on conduct, unity, and welfare, and representing their interests within the Kingdom’s structures.

The Ssaabalangira also plays a crucial role in preserving royal customs, mediating internal matters among princes, and serving as a key link between the Kabaka and the royal family.

Ssaabalangira Godfrey Musanje Kikulwe Ngobe had been entrusted with these responsibilities, effectively leading the royal princes’ lineage on behalf of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.

More details regarding the burial programme and official Kingdom activities are expected to be communicated by the organising committee as preparations get underway.
